The city of Scottsdale in Arizona has recently been described as a “desert version of south beach in Miami” which may sound like an odd place to find some great golf courses. A city famed for its vibrant night life and beautiful parks, impressive for its location, there’s also some fantastic golf courses worth checking out here. There are some real 5 star quality golf courses just a few miles from the city centre making this an easy and accessible place to play your favourite sport. Our top tips include the 18 hole Continental Golf Course, the challenging Phoenician desert course also with 18 holes and if you’re looking for something quick and easy there’s the Coronado golf course just a mile from town.
The views from the Continental Golf Course are worth the trip alone but you’ll also find some great facilities, easily accessible and if you’re just looking to practice your drives then the range is the perfect place. Their rates are very affordable and there’s some great events at this course worth checking out. If you’re looking for something a little different Phoenician desert course definitely fits the bill. A very unique setting with great scenery and enjoyable holes. Check out this website for more information on any Scottsdale golf course. The city and it’s courses are sure to fulfill your golfing needs.
Not always top of everyone’s places to visit in America, New Jersey has a surprising number of great golf courses that make a trip to this north-eastern state a must, especially during the summer months. Flights from Europe are easily affordable and combined with a short break in New York you’re sure to have a great time. The golf courses of New Jersey have hosted some major national events and offer a great challenge to both novices and expert golfers. We can highly recommend the Sand Barrens Golf Club in Swainton for its impressive views and challenging holes. Green fees are more expensive here but it’s well worth it.
For a real challenge and some amazingly designed holes we’d highly recommend taking a trip out to the Pine Valley Golf Club in Clementon. Designed by George Crump in 1918 the Pine Valley golf course is breathtaking not only to view but also to play. This course is also consistantly ranked number one so if you’re looking for a real traditional golf course that’s sure to hit the spot then this is the course for you. There’s plenty of other NJ golf courses to choose from, all of which are easily accessible and affordable to fly to over the Atlantic.
